The Grateful Dead Take Over New York Forever

March 2010 is basically forever from now, but we’re already excited for the New York Historical Society’s exhaustive history of the Grateful Dead told through a grip of archival materials. There is no way this won’t be better than listening to our dads talk about how amazing Cryptical Envelopment > The Other One > Cryptical Envelopment was at Avalon in ‘69, which was cool the first hundred times but then got old. Because that shit is so far away, and because we’re children of the internet, we naturally need something to hold us over. Luckily New York has us covered with a swanky fundraising exhibition on Wednesday night (for the ballers), as well as the brilliant idea to tie-dye the Empire State Building tonight in celebration of the band. We’ve also got you covered. Remember when we did this?
