We’ve known that Animal Collective are dubstep enthusiasts for a bit now, but we’ve yet to hear it manifest in their music the way we hear it in Dam Mantle’s (not to be confused with Dam-Funk, although if that’s your thing this might be too) “Purple Arrow.” Organic drum thwap meets distant vocals and fractured electronics to sound like a dying computer.
