Hey Purling Hiss: Ariel Pink called. He wants his R. Stevie Moore back. More famous as the guitarist of Birds Of Maya, Mike Pollize gives further proof that the long-derided city of Philadelphia is as cool as LA and a lot nicer anyway.  Usually a solo project, “Run From The City” was composed along with Dizzy Policy, also of Philly’s clean streets.  “Run From The City” is less heavy, fuzzed-out psych and more laid-back Thin Lizzy jam than Purling Hiss’ very recent LP on Permanent records – both of which, granted, are scratched and covered in dirt.  The track comes from the CDR, Public Service Announcement.
