"Song For A Song" is the first of 44 songs to be released as part of The Pumpkins' new album, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope. Simply put: it is good and not to be shitty, but that surprises us. It's been a while! The song, which Corgan says he wrote in a flurry of inspiration (weeeeeeeeeeeird,) composing the basics/guitar heroics in just 15 minutes or less, premiered yesterday on Spinner. Listen to the digs over there and check out what else he had to say about the new jam after the jump.
It's got something to do about not having any kids and thinking about why I don't have any kids. And then also kind of thinking about my relationship with my father -- there's some kind of connection there, but it's not overt. I didn't set out to write that. It just rolled out of me.
The 44 songs off the new album will be rolled out one-by-one and eventually will all be available for free download at the band's website. (Via Spinner)
