Yikes – I’m REALLY late on the bandwagon for this (that cart is probably all parked up and retired)
I have heard the Salem track on youtube and wondered where it came from and the answer is here.
I see a lot of MP3s of this floating around but no single for sale anywhere.

A free one would be cool, but I’d really like one – but there’s nothing on ebay or discogs so I’m wondering whether this phsically exists?

Oh, I’ve got a horrible feeling I’ve stumbled across this way to late and I have a fear enduced tear in my eye. I’m in UK and found Salem through their Merok single over here then had to go to Japan to pick up Crack from Big Love then back there for OhK then US for Frost then had terrible trouble getting the Disaro CDs now – why are they so secretive? I don’t think I can take many more of these ‘oh, didn’t you know there is yet another scrap of Salem must haveness that has been and gone before you knew about it’. And so it starts again. Point me in the right direction and I’ll start begging now. Please.

Where there’s a will there’s a way right? After losing out on the twitter feed contest on the 28th, i cannot emphasize how much i need this seven inch. Please please please please please understand Salem is my most favorite thing ever and it seems luck has not been on my side these last two months. I seriously own every magazine, every record, anything that salem has either appeared in, put on, participated in, or was someway involved with I own. I own both of the SALEM-OWLEYES and SALEM-FUCKT cdrs on disaro (They will soon be releasing a ///▲▲▲\\\ void cdr buy it!) I also own all of the other 4 previous vinyl singles that have been released Oh K on Big Love, Yes I Smoke Crack on Acephale, Frost on Audraglint and The Water EP on Merok. As I sit and type out this plea to you Fader, above my bed hangs framed the same poster that was the appendix in big love records emerald magazine first volume which was dedicated to/featured salem(its super cool buy a copy! edition of 500 awesome cover). I could continue on with my crazy list of salem things but I think your getting the idea. Ever since I became aware of this 7″ in december these last months have been beyond awful. After spending the months of december and january entering every contest giving a copy of this 7″ and trying to win to no avail I am at my wits end. I have literally been pulling hair out of my head trying to find a way to get a copy of this record. As of now this seven inch remains the only salem release that I don’t own. I’m not joking when I say this record has helped me ruin some friendships for me. I also know that its childish to act like this when you don’t get something you want, but please understand if I could live without this I would. Begging like this on the internet is sad and crazy but the thought of living without this record makes me sick to my stomach. I truly and honestly love salem more then most things hence the reason for all this. The last copies I saw being given away by you guys took place on Jan 28th with the twitter contest, if by some miracle there are remaining copies still being given away by you I am at the point where I seriously will probably do anything, including accept offers from anyone on here who might wanna sell their copy as I have yet to see it appear on ebay. Please make your demands either in records wantlists, or how much cash you want for it you can email me @ ineedsalemssocotfader7inch@gmail.com
Fader I need this record. Living without it these last two months have made me an emotional wreck this cannot continue if you have any mercy please please please just let me have a copy.
If anyone beside Fader somehow managed to read all of this thank you for listening to me vent like that I feel much better now, now if I could only find a copy!

And so it came to pass that Elleymans search for the sacred plastic was near…..

for many months he had followed the Salem & tanline clues. He had purchased crack from Japan when the secret vinyl was in short supply and when looking for Big Love in Japan he came accross Salems ohK which he feasted upon again.

The clues to the 11th instalment were unclear and he was confused by the author JJ Salem who had himself published a strange & mysterious book called Tanlines. Elleyman himself had also acquired beautiful new flowers by Tanlines but they were not connected.

He travelled further afield and bitten by the Frost & desperate for Water he came accross an oasis that served him beautiful & delicious nectar called Southern Comfort which warmed his body & soul. The wise man Fader appeared in his vision and asked him if he sought the grail. Elleyman smiled & said ” Sir..I have travelled far accross the world from England but I fear I may be too late..can I please have the Salem/Tanlines split vinyl!!”….Fader replied…” we shall see my son…we shall see……..”
