Some other cities have recently made some pretty bold claims about their music scenes. You might have heard about them a few hundred times. So it was about time San Francisco chimed in and made some er, noise in the argument. Instead of boasting on the cover of some fancy magazine, they went old school and announced the dates and lineups for their own West coast indie-rock concert staple: Noise Pop.
Next year Noise Pop will take place between February 23 and March 1 across San Francisco. Already confirmed for the festival are Magnetic Fields, Rogue Wave, Atlas Sound and John Vanderslice, among others. Industry Noise, the festival's yearly mini-conference and state of music affairs discussion, will be held on February 27. Keynote speakers to be announced soon. The badges are on sale now at Noise Pop.
