Premiere: Roberto “Beto” Gyemant’s Lost Panamanian Classics FADER Mix

December 21, 2009

Alright look, we spend a lot of hours listening to music, probably more hours than we spend not listening to music. Even with all that listening, there are corners of our musical brains that are wildly underpopulated, which is why we were supremely psyched when Roberto "Beto" Gyemant—who wrote an excellent Vinyl Archeology on lost Panamanian jams in the current issue of our magazine—offered to make a mix for the site. In addition to including songs from most of the records he wrote about, he threw in some more great music and about a million pounds of good tropical vibes. If you were in New York over the weekend, you know it snowed a lot, and listening to this mix was like our own apartment vacation. All we had to do was blast the heat, put it on and let ourselves experience the most mellow times possible. Check out the tracklist after the jump, and spend legit money on Gyemant's Soundway Panama! series, which is already three volumes deep, as well as volumes 2 and 3 of his equally awesome Soundway Colombia! series, coming in 2010.
