Underwater Peoples’ Winter Review

January 04, 2010

The gift and the curse of making season-themed compilations is that no matter what you put on there, people will decide it sounds like said season. Last summer, Underwater Peoples lucked out by calling their previous compilation a "Summertime Showcase," and from then on every song that every band on there made was labeled as summery. Whether they all actually were or not is up for debate. Possibly hoping to capture that same magic once again, or more likely because they—ahem—actually released the comp in the winter time, the dudes have put together a great mix of music from like every band in New Jersey as well as Rainbow Bridge, who recently released an awesome 7-inch on True Panther Sounds that gets so much play in this office it borders on torture (um, in a good way?). The Winter Review is apparently only going to be available for a limited time, so grab it while you can.
