High Places Want to Tackle You and Yr Friends

This Easter, it’s High Places versus humanity in a no-holds-barred cage match. Two will enter, only one shall leave. Well, not exactly. But early April is the target date for the forthcoming release of High Places’ second LP, High Places vs. Mankind. This time around, the duo is getting away from the natural, Walden-like subject matter of their eponymous debut, in favor of musing on what it means to be human. Whoa. In honor of the human race, the band also plans on using more standard instrumentation than ever before, while making sure those pleasant samplers and drum machines are still ever present. So far, the band has already released one digital single showing off their new chops, "I Was Born," and will drop a second single and video before collecting both on a 12" that's packed with additional and unreleased remixes. Homo sapiens rejoice!

Bonus: High Places are touring the US and Europe this spring in support of the upcoming record. Dates after the jump.
