Things we’ve learned about the forthcoming MGMT album, Congratulations, from press they’ve done (NME, SPIN) thus far…

• 1. There will be no singles.

This is a thing that caught us a bit offguard, as we basically considered them a borderline singles band the first time around. Then again, we suppose that’s probably much of why they’re doing this.

• 2. It will “shock people.”

This is a thing people say.

• 3. There is a 12-minute song entitled “Siberian Breaks” loosely-themed around surfing in the Arctic Circle near Russia.
