There's the Roots. There was the Jawbox comeback. Then there was the return of Sunny Day Real Estate. Then there was that time viewers could tell the Pixies which Doolittle jam they'd like to hear most. Via Twitter! Younger bands have made their TV debuts there as well recently: Japandroids finally played "Wet Hair" in a live setting, Julian Casablancas shared Christmas cheer and Beach House brought a slice of Teen Dream just last week. And for their next trick? According to Billboard, reunited ska pioneers The Specials will be performing on the show on April 13th, their first time to take a stage on U.S. soil in nearly 30 years. In addition to their slot at Coachella and an April 21st club show at NYC's Terminal 5, it's one of only three currently scheduled Specials gigs at the moment. Stay tuned for more info on that though— Billboard also reports that more April shows are in the works as is a full 2010 tour.
