All the best music helps to transport us somewhere else—in the case of Dead Meadow, their songs usually take us to a smokey basement bar that might double as an opium den (but it’s all good, no one is making too big a deal out of it). It’s probably that these songs take their time, wafting around any sort massive explosion like curls of smoke before eventually arriving at their natural ending. Is there somewhere besides our desks we can listen to this? Is there a bar that’s been open since last night somewhere near our office? Nope!
