The Who's Super Bowl Setlist Reveals Ruined Jab At Brett Favre

We watched the NFC Championship on Sunday. As we expressed yesterday, we were pretty pumped for the Saints. One of our friends mentioned how heartbreaking watching Brett Favre's late interception was, but that confused us a bit. How can you be heartbroken for a guy that a.) has cried in retirement speeches for two teams that weren't the one he suited up for on Sunday and b.) constantly throws lofty passes across the middle from his weak side like that. However, we are a bit bummed to see Prince will have no chance to publicly showcase that bizarre song he made for the Vikings. But now, after seeing The Who's Super Bowl setlist, we're a little miffed Favre won't be there for what we've decided could only be a not so subliminal jab from Roger Daltrey and Co. Their set, much like those of recent Super Bowl halftime performances, is a medley of their mega-hits. It obviously includes "Baba O'Riley" and "Tommy" and "Who Are You." But it also uses "Won't Get Fooled Again." While the song was a hit in it's own right, we also think of it as a general message from NFL GM's and, well, America, in regards to Mr. Favre's loyalties. If only they could play a song to get Peyton Manning in a few less commercials... (Via: Billboard)
