For AC/DC to Soundtrack Iron Man 2 Seems Counterintuitive, Even Lazy

You probably already know where this is going and please, don’t think we’re saying that AC/DC is anything but great. But, you can hear their music in just about any blockbuster. Even Varsity Blues. And that said, how much more filling, how much more satisfying, terrifying and ultimately illuminating would Iron Man 2 be if they just kept things conceptual and plumbed Black Sabbath’s back catalogue instead? Right? So much cooler! That’s all we’re saying. After the jump, you can check a tracklisting of AC/DC favorites that goes fifteen deep.

01 Shoot To Thrill
02 Rock ‘N’ Roll Damnation
03 Guns for Hire
04 Cold Hearted Man
05 Back In Black
06 Thunderstruck
07 If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)
08 Evil Walks
09 T.N.T.

The did the same think for a Stephen King movie almost 20 yrs ago, didn’t they? Effectively a non-official best-of/greatest-hits of sorts. Get this thing and the Razors’ Edge soundtrack and you pretty much have a two disc anthology.
