Why would anyone willingly sacrifice themselves to the whims of the Los Angeles freeway system? If you're going to sacrifice yourself, do it for something really worthwhile--like promoting your LP. That's what The Soft Pack did just recently, performing ten shows in one L.A. day (although one, to be fair, was orchestrated on their tour van.) You'll hear much more on this from us later, but The Soft Pack (once known to the woefully trendy as "the Muslims") seem like the kind of dudes you want to share a beer with. They don't come off as phony as they play barefoot in the sand, and they don't come off as pretentious as they film their day-long concert series; they just seem like guys roaming L.A. in their van, playing shows in homes, in stores, on the beach, and it feels earnest.
"I feel brain dead," they say conclusively in the video, but "I feel good."
