Paul Simon Allowing Others To Call Him Al Nearly Backfires



Further proof neither Paul Simon nor his songwriting chum Art Garfunkel ever truly possessed the title of "only living boy in New York" (when will the lies stop?), a New York man (who our sources tell us was likely once a New York boy) attempted to steal Simon's identity yesterday afternoon at an uptown bank. The obvious joke we were devastated to see the NY Post beat us was that the man was trying to pass for Paul, but, you can call him Rafael, Rafael Ramos. The caper totally might have worked if the man was ten or so inches shorter, seemed more openly bitter with the bank teller about the new Vampire Weekend album hitting number one or, well, looked anything like Paul Simon.
