Many awesome things in this video, but let’s cut to the chase. Having met Phoenix and knowing they are very nice fellows, we believe that Branco was not intentionally suggesting that Jersey Shore‘s infamous Snooki was a promiscuous lady by answering her Grammy red carpet question, “Are there guidas in France?” by saying, “Yes, they’re called cagoles.” First, she did not identify herself as a guida, which is like an undercover cop pulling his gun on you and then getting pissed when you stab him. And second, ehhh Branco and Christian are half-Italian? Who knows. But this is already one of the better pop culture artifacts of 2010 and now we can all add some French slang to the lexicon.

“Cagole” doesn’t really mean “slut”… It’s more a superficial woman, very preoccupied with her look and not very intelligent (at least that’s the way she look like).
Some “cagoles” are sluts, but not all of them.
