Stream: THEEsatisfaction, "Icing"

If we ever have to leave this planet for Mars we’re pretty sure that hip-hop will withstand the migration. We also willing to bet this is what it would sound like on our new red planet. “Psychedelic space-rap/jazz” duo is the perfect way to describe Seattle's THEEsatisfaction. Their music features sounds from another galaxy mashed with simple hip-hop beats and little jazzy piano if so inclined. The effect is low-key rap that sounds like it was made in on a deserted a space station. "Icing" sounds like a Theolonius Monk cyborg’s interpretation of A Tribe Called Qwest. "Magnetic Blackness" is what your hip hop sounds like when you’re on the moon or maybe just after you’ve had your medicinal marijuana. Both provide the perfect chill effect and this duo’s style feels effortless which hopefully will carry them far into the future. -Judnick Mayard
