WIKI-NI KILL: RIOT GRRRL GETS DIGITAL

KathleenHannaWE'RE BIKINI KILL. AND WE WANT REVOLUTION GIRL STYLE NOW! In keeping with the "now" part of that sentence, funny blogger/'90s feminist icon/BK singer Kathleen Hanna has started the millennial version of a fanzine—a Bikini Kill blog—where people can leave their memories of the band. Obviously testimonial and archivism was not just an integral part of riot grrrl, but of feminism in general, so big thanks to Ms. Hanna for keeping it alive. This, of course, goes in tandem with the wondrous new NYU Riot Grrrl collection.

Now, we shall direct you to our favorite live performance of the best Bikini Kill song "Strawberry Julius," which is about "how not letting, just because like, a lot of fucked up shit like, exists, like, ruin things that aren't fucked up."
