When All Star initially started getting the kind of fast-tracked major label deal that you can just tell means he'll be resigned to perpetually being "about to release an album," it didn't quite fit. He's an underdog in every way, and seems to feed off it. Much of his earlier mixtape output lamented his difficulty getting music out in any sort of proper channel. But after a couple years of that, the Burn One-produced "Alright" sees him finally settling into his roll as a dude with a constant lump in his throat that is content to stay low for awhile, releasing mixtapes and tracks with just enough frequency that we're still excited to see where he goes next.
