For some time now, Small Black have been the music industry equivalent of an adorable puppy that is still, bafflingly, left to the elements. You listen to their new wave yowls of want, and you think: where oh where is Small Black’s home? Well, concerned puppy-lovers everywhere can sleep easy tonight: indie label Jagjaguwar has come to save the day, as we’ve recently learned via Pitchfork. Not only do they have a home, but they get to go on vacation! Or, you know, touring. Their spring 2010 tour runs from early March through early April, and they’ll be joined by the deeply enjoyable stylings of both Washed Out and Pictureplane. This tour will probably be Small Black’s most grateful ever—new home, new friends—see them before they become lazy old dogs.
