Video: Substance B, “Future is Now”

February 11, 2010

We understand nostalgia. Just now we were watching this T-Pain video and felt really wistful about the summer of 2007. However watching this video for Substance B's gnarly bass/breaks track made partly from old video samples, we were forced to delve into the crevices of the '80s: Max Headroom. Seriously people, what in the hell was up with Max Headroom. Dude is CREEPY. What is up with that? People in the '80s thought this was really next-level. Fortunately we live in the '10s and we can conveniently ignore 30 years ago with our magical electronic music-making instruments and our iPhones and our Google Buzzes and songs like "Future is Now," which drops a brutal drum pattern and chaotic synth skips, and makes way more sense to us than anything from our babyhood and/or the fact that Ronald Reagan was like, a President. Haha! (via Generation Bass)
