Austin, Texas’ lovably sloppy Harlem will put out one of our favorite new rock albums, Hippies, on April 6th on Matador, so when they were in town recently we obviously couldn’t not invite them to the Open Bar at Heathers. They played a couple more mellow versions of “Three Legged Dog” and “Cloud Pleaser” from the new album, employing cocktail shakers and plastic party cups for percussion. Bartendress/video artist Amy Von Harrington was on hand to document and facilitate the beer-ingenuity, and now they have an open invitation to drink with us anytime anywhere.
