We haven’t seen a performance this good in our own country since God knows how long. There’s an orchestra of harps and Florence Welch’s amazing voice. Who knew people could still sing anymore? Also, did you see her appear out of the disco ball like Botticelli’s “the Birth of Venus” incarnate?!?!?! We’re willing to bet that wasn’t by accident. Anyway, it’s a cover of a cover of a song that was covered by someone else too. This version probably comes closest to the massive energy of the original. Dizzee’s energy level matches Florence’s vocal power and its just KABOOM CONFETTI AWESOME! Sigh. Now we’re stuck thinking about how yawntastic our awards show performances are. Luckily you can’t get depressed watching this but next year we’re only watching the Brits and the BAFTAS. Don’t worry, we will NOT be acquiring fake accents. —Judnick Mayard
