Fred Perry x Liberty

The clothes in the new Fred Perry Blank Canvas series play with two very iconic Liberty prints—”Mark” (paisley) and “Edenham” (floral). Strangely enough the collabo has sparked an interesting debate in the FADER office, which boils down to one polarizing style conundrum—does one wear prints on the inside or the outside? Our contributing style editor, Mobolaji Dawodu, is definitely a hardline all-over print man, and if you’re familiar with the fashion spreads in this magazine and his inimitable line of clothing, then clearly you already know this. Is it really wise for a regular dude to do full frontal pattern though? Shy guys might prefer to pop a few flowers on their collar lining instead.

  1. What I like about website blogs is this: they provoke an idea in my head. The moment that happens, I feel like I have to provide feedback wishing it may be beneficial to some people. As there are lots of blogs and forums with many points of view, they test your perception. It’s at these moments when you have valuable insignt many others might not have had, not to mention the blogger her/himself. I find myself coming back to to your web site only because you have several wonderful insights and also you happen to be at this a very long time, that is very exciting and tells me you know your stuff. Keep provoking thoughts in others!

Ditto to Gudrun! I like how I can come here and get a different perspective without being told that I’m wrong. You kind of melt ideas together so that it makes sense to me. :D
