Won Hundred’s American Debut

February 25, 2010

The Danish are coming! Just a couple weeks ago, Peter Jensen showed his collection in North America for the first time, and now Denmark-based Won Hundred is making its debut in the North American market. And there's one theme that seems to be crossing the ocean with them: cuteness. That may not seem like a big deal, but it's no joke pulling off "cute" while remaining sophisticated and fresh. The Danes seem to have the recipe—something like one part schoolgirl, three parts high class. Peter Jensen does it famously well, but we can add Won Hundred to the list of Danes who's perfect pinch of sugar has us swooning. The clothes are precious but never overly delicate, partly because of a cool, dark color palate and tough fabrics. Even the tender, romantic hand-holding between the models is offset by the less-than-thrilled expressions on their faces. It must the Danish way.
