Morning Commute: The Strokes

I’m a hopeless germaphobe. In the morning, when trying to claim some space in a train car on the way to work, I really need to have both my hands available. Because as much as I’d like to kick back and read, it’s more comfortable to just lean on what’s around than have to transfer whatever gnarliness exists on handles to the book/magazine I’ll eventually be reading in my CLEAN bed later that night. Here’s what I listened to on the way to work.

Dear God,

If you're listening, please let the new Strokes album be the best of the year and their careers. I love Teen Dream and that new Joanna Newsom record's the right kind of rabbit hole and I realize this must seem like a bonehead thing to hope for considering how heavy life-lifting can get here and there, but...maybe it's not so ridiculous. Maybe it makes total sense to you, too. That would be oddly comforting.

Your friend,

David

PS Write back soon. There are deep cuts/videos after the jump.
