Someone Finally Scratched Peter Gabriel's Back

This is an underdog story. (Don't act like you don't have a soft spot for those-- we saw the Olympic ratings) Anyway, this story involves a young, starry-eyed singer who made a bold move to cover some of his favorite indie bands in the hopes they would notice and give him a similar shout-out one day, or at least listen to a few of his MySpace tracks and maybe friend him. The first few songs from the project came out, though with no public word yet on the reciprocation. But these things take time and now, with a new month comes new hope! Word came yesterday from some obscure news journal that said sonic visionary is having an old tune he sang called "Games Without Frontiers" covered by none other than the Arcade Fire. This Peter Gabriel fellow just might be going places. More to come on this one.

Heads-up: According to Pitchfork/Arcade Fire's publicist, the band is NOT covering "Games Without Frontiers." I guess we'll uh, let you know if they decide they're going to cover any of Gabriel's catalogue.
