As one grows older one tends to balk at the idea of seeing a band live. It gets loud. There's a lot of standing and even more waiting. Also, name one person who likes a crowd. You can't do it. After having just played two sold out shows to New Yorkers who clearly don't give a shit about crowds or volume, Shout Out Louds came over to our parents' place to play a few songs for people who do. They were both polite, semi-unplugged and seated uncomfortably. See "Fall Hard" (from their excellent new full-length Work) above and after the you-know-what, watch them whisper their way through their very first single/a jam we've long held near and dear to our hearts, "Very Loud."
