Hieroglyphic Being, “The Mysteries of Life” MP3

March 05, 2010

Jamal Moss aka Hieroglyphic Being is kind of like an OG Salem. Not to knock our haunted woozy techno friends from Michigan or whatever, but you can't beat the Being in terms of bleak ass beats. A guttered version of some of the best Trax tracks (though missing a really demented R&B vocal), his new, ridiculously awesome "The Mysteries of Life" is a 12-minute acid tunnel dive. We talked before about Moss' pretty much perfect Sample/Pattern mix (seriously, please find it somewhere and listen to it. It will make you feel fucked up), and "Mysteries," in all its gross drum machine techno battering, would be a galloping start. If you're listening to this, it's okay to do meth and punch yourself in the mouth.
