Nearly three years ago, in an interview for The FADER that's all but disappeared from the surface of the Internet, I did an interview with Dr. Dog at Bonnaroo. If memory serves, there was talk of covering Metallica, kicking Sting in the balls, ghosts and just how insanely hot it was on that cow farm in the middle of Tennessee. Since then, those guys have found their way onto a fancy new label roster at Anti-, all by way of their boogie. (Also, hard work.) "Stranger" is the first look we're getting at Shame, Shame, their full-length debut on said new label and it is but one more step toward harmonic nirvana. We were tent neighbors that week and consequently, invited over for a few beers at the end of a day. We probably won't be again this year, but we'll be sharing beers with our bros when they play "Stranger" anyway. That's what Dr. Dog jams are all about.
