Luke Temple’s last LP under the Here We Go Magic flag was/is something of a sleeping giant— if you haven’t spent an hour with it yet, please find it and take a shower with it one afternoon in the near future. Please. The strength of those songs landed the Brooklynite spot on the Secretly Canadian roster right next to Yeasayer, a band whose source material is just as globally inclined as Temple’s folk music. “Collector” is the first jam to surface and with the extra studio muscle, Temple took his band to the outer limits. There are dozens of micromelodies embroidered together to stream as one. And stream it all does.
