Whatever it is that you do all day, can’t compare to ours at Suite903. It goes a little something like this: wake up, make love, take a luxurious bath, drink some lattes in a silk leopard bathrobe, make love a second time, write a few posts, enjoy an apertif and well, third time is the charm. During our downtime countless hours are spent pondering the mind of the one and only R. Kelly. Why spend so much time on this subject? Well, because the man is insanely genius and insane. How does he do it? What kind of whirlwinds and whimsical creatures fly through his mind when he’s laying down the track? Are there strippers in this magic land? Does he make love in the studio while singing riffs? We need answers! So from our mouths to some higher power’s ears we were granted our request.
This video is the second part of a series of three showing the Pied Piper recording the remix to his perplexing (yodeling?) yet baby-making inducing track “Echo.” Apparently, the man eats chinese because he’s “hooouungry.” Then he walks around with headphones on his shoulders to catch the rhythmic beating of his heart, just maybe? And almost as if an after thought: he SAAAAANGS. Well he doesn’t sing so much as “put some daddy on the track.” In between he mentors K. Michelle, his co-star on this remix (who may or may not be of dubious age) on how to make THE GREATEST SONGS IN THE WORLD!!! Seriously, is he serious? Why is he so good at this shit? All this time we’ve thought it was blood, sweat, and other questionable liquids, and he’s just doing this stuff off the cuff? Why are you always owning this R&B thing so hard Kellz? We’re almost heartbroken at how easy it is for you. Damn you! We’ve learned something though: R. Kelly can make anything sound like sex. We don’t know if K will be billed as Mrs. Crabtree on the credits, but Robert makes us think she should never meet our parents in a ride home from a chinese food dinner. R. Kelly we bow down to you. Hopefully someday we can hold a cigar in our mouths and dictate our Suite903 posts to minions while we put some mama on it. Hopefully, someday soon.
