If Kelis really wanted to torture her fans, she could chose to retire from music. Damn, what would the world be like without another "Milkshake"? The thought of her never churning out another mantra—like the one geared towards the lady lumps—never seemed real until she assumed control of the kitchen at her fancy listening session/dinner party last night.
Shows like Dinner with the Band scratch the surface putting musicians in the kitchen but they're not always top chef. Her hands on relationship between the menu and her forthcoming album is all the more reason to take Kelis' next album seriously, in a weird Chocolát kind of way. She spent some time in culinary school which is why she was able to whip up dishes like coconut lobster soup, and duck confit salad, paired with Belvedere-based cocktails—more rich than the ones served cold in her divorce. Click on the photos to see Kelis in the kitchen, and with Interscope boss Jimmy Iovine and his son at the soirée.
