The first George Bush was president when Black Tambourine existed, probably playing shows just a few miles from the White House. But their music didn't have too much to do with the aggressive anti-government thrash of the folks a few years before them in DC, instead venturing out into poppier side of reverb and fuzz. Vocalist Pam Berry has a lackadaisical hang ten to her voice, just pretty enough to cut through the guitar's poppy buzzsaw. We'll have more in our soon to be released new issue about Black Tambourine and their influence on the current scene of Slumberland grownup teenyboppers but you can pick up the fully remastered Black Tambourine discography today.
