It's sort've unusual for us to be doing to a grooming post on The FADER, especially because half of our male staff happily does NOT groom, choosing to keep their beards long and fluffy. But maybe FADER editors keep their jowls covered because they're just plain scared, rightfully so, of razor burn and dry skin and all that other shit that guys have to put up with from shaving. It's not fun dragging a sharp blade down the side of your cheek. But couldn't it be? Don Draper seems to do alright. So it is with courage that we don't give up on shaving altogether, and through our relentless search for the right shaving products, we came across a company that has been around for almost a decade but was entirely new to us, Sharps. This could be the end of our journey! Sharps Shaving Creams are amazing, minty without feeling synthetic, tough without drying out our skin into rawhide. Our shave with Sharps seemed less like a drag, and more like a glide. Our favorite part, though, was the afterglow. Finishing our shave, we used Sharps After-Shave and it was like a nice breeze across our face. We can't promise we're going to shave everyday (sorry mom!), but there'll be no more Father Christmas beards for (some of) us.
