This one here should add a little pep to your afternoon step. “Bones Become Rainbows,” the first single from The Wailing Wall‘s upcoming The Low Hanging Fruit, can’t help but remind us of the slightly nasally handclap-backed folk croons that brought so much promise from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah’s debut songs. Although in this case, songwriter Jesse Rifkin trades the normal folk-laments of friends, bars and love for some much more introspective reflections on spirituality and self. But if that feels a little heavy for you, just feel the bongos and chant along with him. You’ll feel better. The Low Hanging Fruit comes out out June 8th on JDUB Records.
