Converse's annual Band Of Ballers three-on-three basketball tournament takes place on May 1. While the event is largely a showcase for rapper-coached basketball teams (Jim Jones, Jay Electronica, OJ Da Juiceman and Pill will all either coach or play in the games), indie rockers are digging up there old gym shorts for the occasion, too. The event, which takes place in Atlanta, features two of Georgia's finest and weirdest rock acts: Black Lips and Of Montreal. Both crews made intimidating (read: plain silly!) clips for the tourney, laying the smack down on the likes of Mr. Juiceman specifically. Despite including an obligatory "playing with balls" joke, Black Lips have agreed to donate their entire $5000 fee from the game to Auditory Verbal Centre, Inc., a nonprofit focused on the rehabilitation of deaf children. We'd say that's pretty baller (sorry). Jim Jones' squad took home the big prize last year, and while they lack the home-court advantage this year, Pitchfork points out they do have the top ringer thus far in the form of coolest-named-basketball-player-ever/Providence star God Shammgod. Kind of feels like a lost cause for everyone else at this point. Check the videos after the jump.
