Someone booked Chris Brown to sing at a boxing match. What next? Lindsay Lohan takes a vacation to Colombia? Jokes like these pretty much write themselves here but Chris Brown's humility and humanity are more important than a few cheap laughs. Mr. Breezy has been struggling to get back on his feet for the past few months but he seems to be staging a comeback. Taking the stage and looking pretty humble (no gaudy bowtie) Chris sang the national anthem with flourish (no Keri Hilson) as what may be the first of many appearances.
Next weekend he will be holding his "Virginia Stand Up!" benefit concert featuring Keri Hilson, Ryan Leslie, Mario, Juelz Santana, T-Pain, Tank and Trey Songz. The benefit is not to help his album sales dear friends; half the proceeds will go towards Haiti relief and the other half to the Central Virginia Food Bank. We will refrain from any jokes, double entendres and sarcasm. We do however wonder why Michael Buffer paused between "Grammy award-winning" and "recording superstar." Did he question whether he was repeating factual information or was he just afraid of saying the word "Grammy" in front of Chris? We don't know how to continue with the rest of this post without endangering ourselves. Just watch below.
