K Records, whose name you probably know from various things such as Kurt Cobain’s tattoo, being the label that puts out lots of great music by Mirah, and having a pretty killer rock doc made about them, are unsurprisingly up to more. This summer they will launch the K-Singles Zip Pak, which can essentially be explained as a giant digital mixtape of new songs by K artists you might receive “six weeks ahead of their normally scheduled street dates” The packets will come via e-mail every Thursday night, along with other exclusive mixes, live versions and photos, as well as a separate $3 digital download coupon for use in the K store each go-around. The bundle is yours for $50 a year ($45 if you sign up this month) and the first mix will go out July 1. This may seem like a lot, but when you break it down it’s way cheaper than Netflix and K definitely won’t REPEATEDLY recommend The King Of Queens to you.
