Jarvis Cocker Makes Album of Natural Sounds For Your Sleep

Lest we forget, Jarvis was once intrigued to live like the common people. Nothing says common people like mills, gardens and that creaky stairs that lets you know someone is entering the basement. These are only three of the things featured on Cocker's new album, a collaborative project with The National Trust in which Cocker uses 13 tracks to highlight a different one of their properties and the sounds associated with them in each track. The man himself refers to the project as not a traditional album so much as "something to have in the background to aid relaxation and contemplation." Fair enough dude, it might be easier than meditating with that Sleigh Bells album on. Plus it's free to download, so if you're having trouble sleeping or just want to revisit that lovely trip you took to the English countryside, check it out here. (Via: Vulture via DrowndedInSound)
