When Toni Braxton released her album Pulse last week, indeed that was the sign of life we were looking for in her five-year absence from music. So five years isn't as long as say Sade and Maxwell's equally-long hiatus, but it's long enough. She managed to get the audience's heart racing (a bit) with a passionate performance of her break-up ballad "Yesterday" on Britain's GMTV. The only downside is that it's lip-synced. This is Toni who should still be able to knockout genuine high notes without the assistance of the backing track. Hence the comeback, right? Her way of making up for it: disarming potential criticism with bedroom eyes and a lot of hip-swinging action. Watch the clip below.
