Contest: Yo Gabba Gabba! Hits the Dance Floor

YoGabbaBK

Hey kids, want to approach the unapproachable and forbidden coolness of folks like Chromeo, the Shins, and MGMT? Well, you’re in luck. As it were, we’re offering 4 free tickets to the very private and very promising Yo Gabba Gabba! Dance Party. The shindig, hosted at the Brooklyn Bowl, will feature live sets by DJ Lace Rock, and, of course, the Gabba Gang. As a children’s T.V. show, Yo Gabba Gabba! is co-produced by–wait now–The Magic Store and Wild Brain. So let’s be frank: it’s set to be a heady tour. And they’re not stopping at the Brooklyn Bowl either. Yo Gabba Gabba!’s national tour will hit, among other locales and venues, the holy grail: Radio City Music Hall. If indie rock, retro-style, and trippy colors are your bag, this is definitely for you. Just leave us a Shins and/or MGMT-related haiku in the comments section and we’ll do the rest.

Tune in tomorrow for an update on specific show times.

I completely agree with the guy above and so does my son. The entire Art epsiode is beautiful for the child and mesmerizing for the parent as well. MY most favorite Gabba moment has to be the time when my son started singing along. He is 9 months and he hums along to all the songs almost perfectly. Solly, my son, is especially fond of Muno and his bung frenzies. I love to watch Solly tap his toes to Follow the Oski bugs and get down with Muno when he raps abotu why he loves bugs so much. Besides all the magical appearances by fun guests, I really have to say the musical productions and orginality of the show is the key ingerdient to its success. I enjoy all of the music probably and find myself singing it throughout the day to help calm my son. Please hook us up with some tickets, we originally thought that the show was open to the public and have already booked a hotel room in Brooklyn. Help a mommy out. My son deserves this!

I’m feeling really bad for the poster above, but I wrote a bad ass haiku. Plus my daughter will no longer trust daddy if she doesn’t get to see Brobee in person. I’m hoping I have at least 10 years until she stops trusting me.
