So the tracklist for Drake's Thank Me Later just hit the internet and, nestled in the producer credits betwixt Kanye, Timbaland and Boy 1da, is the name Francis & the Lights. Pretty major, though not shocking when you consider Drake's a big enough fan of Francis to have taken him on tour. And if Francis replicated his spare approach to songwriting on his excellent new album It'll Be Better—a patient, glistening work of Hall & Oates/Phil Collins-invoking, soulful synth-funk—we're looking to end up with either a signature Drake panty-dropper, or a signature Drake lovesick ballad. Either way, somebody at Hot 97 is gonna complain on-air. Ponder that while listening to the smooth pop and jerk of "For Days," Francis' woozy new single.
