French electro duo Bot’Ox has a way of invoking the clicks and pongs of a car rattling around the autobahn—clearly apt pupils of both Neu! and Can—but filtered through Morgan Geist‘s spastic heat, “Overdrive” is careening into a full-throttle spin-out. If they drive like they compose, you’ll probably never want to get into a car with either one of them after hearing this—plus it sounds like the engine’s about to drop out of the vehicle—but as a “bop around the room and spaz” kind of anthem, the pleasure’s all yours. “Overdrive” will be released June 7th on I’m a Cliche (the label owned by Bot’Ox’s Cosmo Vitelli).
