M.I.A. Just Beefed Up Our New York Times Rolodex

MIA_02

Lynn Hirschberg wrote a cover profile on M.I.A. for this week’s New York Times Magazine. Calling this piece scathing would be too tame, so needless to say, it did not appear to change Maya’s feelings towards the Times. Her retort? Posting Lynn’s cell-phone number on Twitter of course, along with the line “CALL ME IF YOU WANNA TALK TO ME ABOUT THE N Y T TRUTH ISSUE, ill b taking calls all day bitches ;).” Interesting, sure. But we’re pretty sure Paul Giamatti didn’t do that when Hirschberg called Philip Seymour Hoffman America’s greatest character actor.

And because we live in the Internet age, Hirschberg has already responded online, calling the tweet “infuriating and not surprising.” She also shares our surprise Maya would want any more attention brought to this piece than would have been there already. More to come, we imagine. (Via: M.I.A.’s Twitter)

Lynn is fucking annoying as fuck I hope she dies or something. Oh and Kurt Cobain hated her too. She’s just a jealous talentless bitch. At least M.I.A is changing things in music unlike her, who’s not changing anything in journalism except pissing people off which is obviously her way to try to be famous cause she wouldn’t be famous otherwise. whatever everyone will forget about her in 3 months unlike M.I.A.

Oh also she said M.I.A is more like Madonna than Courtney Love who she also talked shit about. What an idiot. Who compares M.I.A to Madonna? M.I.A isn’t a pop star and she’s at least likable and makes experimental music unlike Madonna who’s just full of herself and fake as fuck and just uses people and probably doesn’t even write her own music.
