B.o.B is a different kind of dude, but the fact that he's covering MGMT makes a ton of sense to us. It works really well, too, as he brings much more exuberance to the song than we even realized it could contain. This is probably the strongest case that's been made in some time for rappers keeping guitars on standby.

Kid Cudi's contribution to the day is a bit more perplexing, and surely a strange sign of our times. After hopping on Vampire Weekend before to address the haters already, he tries on LCD Soundsystem's "Dance Yrself Clean" and adds, of all things, a sample from that infamous Christian Bale rant. It's hard not to wonder why this thing exists in the world. But it's even harder to hate it, and certainly not worth the energy.

If these dudes are just goofballs having fun for a minute, who are we to hold their solid musical taste and penchant for YouTube videos against them (not Christian Bale, that is for sure). (Via: MixtapeMaestro and P4K)
