Elijah & Skilliam are essentially synonymous with cutting edge grime these days—even the most casual fan would do well to listen to their bracingly heavy shows on Rinse FM, on which they showcase the rawest new MCs and don't tether themselves to any one style, unafraid to dabble for the sake of the sound. This grime mix is a prime example, where they render raps harder by overlaying them over cavernous dubstep and swift, stabby garage, never obvious and always driven by the nastiness of the beat. Those lucky enough to be going to Sonar in Barcelona this month can experience this live at Numbers, Butters and Desparrame's closing party, where they'll be playing alongside a massive all-headliner lineup: Rustie, L-Vis 1990, Untold, Deadboy, Bok Bok, Spencer, Swindle, Slackk and K**O.
