The Swedes have a long tradition of visual eeriness, whether displayed through Ingmar Bergman's films or, more recently, their musicians' videos. Enter ceo, better known as Eric Berglund of Tough Alliance, whose video shares more aesthetic interests with labelmate JJ than you can shake a champagne bottle at. The tropical, escapist "Come With Me" now comes equipped with a dark, metaphor-heavy video, centering on the general theme of getting away from life as it is. Splits to photos of a young child are interspersed with religious symbolism, cutting, and a light at the end of the tunnel—so if you're into that, uh, melange, watch away. Even if Berglund's description of ceo as a project is lovably kooky, we can't deny (given the video) that "ceo is a war zone and a sanctuary...it is implosion technology and it is the match point." Go on, you old coot, we say, and play your crazy music! [via FADER]
