Word is now out that Yeasayer is the latest in a line of awesome bands to grace the turntables at the American Museum of Natural History for our One Step Beyond series. When Animal Collective did it we predicted that they’d play all sorts of dubstep, and they only kind of did, so we’re going to refrain from predicting anything this time around and instead let the jams do the talking. We’ve got some tickets to give away, so hit us in the comments and remember to use an actual email address so we can let you know if you won. I want to got to this more than anything! waaaa waaaaaaa, seriously though I am a connoisseur good music and dancing and this evening sounds delightful!
I’m getting married in two weeks, and I just got fired from my job for asking for time off for my wedding (fail). Would love to go, but triumphantly and gloriously winning this contest would be the only way to get my newly broke ass there. Fingers crossed.
Not only am I deserving of this prize because due to financial difficulties (my job refusing to give me a raise) prevent me from buying concert tickets I really want, but because I really do love that museum (I even know how to spell it-no spell check for this girl) more than anything and Yeasayer has been dear to my heart for quite some time. It would be the coolest, most solid thing anyone has ever done for me if you score me these tickets. C’mon, please?! ….with a cherry on top!

awww, this looks fun! i’m visiting from maine and my friend is visiting from dc. we both love the natural history museum and yeasayer and dancing!
I am SUCH a big fan of Yeasayer, and imagining them performing at a venue like the Natural History Museum is spectacular and salivating. Once in a lifetime! But I’m a ridiculously poor college student with little money but big dreams of seeing Yeasayer. You guys are awesome for giving away tickets!
This museum is my favorite not only because of the amazing renovations but also because of events like this which make a museum experience that much more interesting because of its location and the diverse music that is being played. I would love to go and dance, meet all types of interesting people all the while being able to find out my weight on Saturn or seeing the dinosaurs nearby. Only in NY could this cool idea work so well. It truly is beyond any other experience and I would treasure my evening if I get to go. One Step Beyong the imaginable….an experience for the ages !
